We write the system that replaces it, then we keep it running. Custom software and managed IT for British businesses that have outgrown the workaround.
Client names are withheld under NDA. Figures below are measured from production, not from a proposal.
Nightly reconciliation engine
Haulage operator, Northamptonshire. Replaced a 14-tab workbook. Runs at 02:15, clears 9,400 lines in under three minutes.
02
Warehouse stock API
One source of truth across three sites and a Shopify front end. Stock counts stopped disagreeing in week two.
03
Field-service scheduling
27 engineers, offline-first on the van. Built for signal blackspots because that is where the work is.
04
Legacy migration, 11 months
A 2004 VB6 estimator moved to .NET without a big-bang cutover. Both ran side by side for 62 days.
05
Multi-tenant billing platform
SaaS product for a training provider. 1,180 seats billed monthly. Direct Debit via Bacs, no card fees.
06
On-premise to Azure
Cabinet in a cupboard to a managed tenancy. Hosting bill fell 38%; the fire risk fell rather more.
We are not the right firm for every job. If you need a marketing website, a WordPress theme, or a fixed-price app in six weeks, we will say no and point you at someone better suited. We turned down 9 of our last 40 enquiries on that basis.
Alex Bartonova spent seven years as an in-house developer before starting this firm, and the first eighteen months nearly ended it. Two fixed-price contracts were quoted from a wishlist rather than the actual system, and both overran badly enough to wipe out the year. The lesson was specific: nobody can price a rebuild they have not read.
So every engagement now opens with a paid audit. We read the codebase, the database, the integrations and the parts nobody has touched since 2017. Then we quote. On the 22 fixed-price builds we have delivered since changing that process, 19 landed inside the quoted range.
The work is deliberately unglamorous. We document as we go, hand over the repository and the credentials, and write things down so that another firm could pick it up without ringing us. Warm handovers are a courtesy. Being replaceable is the point.

Eleven years in warehouse and logistics systems. Has met every bad CSV export in Britain.
Holds the support pager. Azure and M365 certified; keeps the 4-hour response honest.
Every price below is fixed and shown upfront. Book directly, or use it as a starting point for something bigger — the audit is where most engagements begin.
A focused read of a single system, page or integration before you commit to anything bigger. You get a short written report: what's wrong, what's fine, and what we'd do next. Yours to keep either way.
A scoped piece of custom work — a feature, a script, an integration point — priced once we know what you need. $99.99 covers small, well-defined jobs; anything larger is quoted after a short chat.
A single hour on the clock: a bug chased down, a small change shipped, a question answered by actually opening the code. Book it directly — no audit required first.
The small stuff that's been sitting in your inbox: a broken form, a layout bug, a typo in the checkout flow. We fix it, test it, and tell you exactly what changed.
A structured pass over your website: speed, mobile behaviour, broken links, the basics a visitor notices in the first ten seconds. Delivered as a short list, ranked by what actually matters.
A plain-English look at how your site reads to search engines: titles, headings, meta descriptions, obvious technical issues. No campaign, no retainer — just what's wrong and what to fix first.
Prices are shown in USD as flat, per-item rates. Bigger or bespoke work is quoted after a short conversation — no charge for the first message.
Everyone in this trade sells you their favourite framework. We pick from a short list we can still support in five years, and we will tell you when your existing stack is the better answer.
C# / .NET, TypeScript, Node, Python. Chosen for hiring depth in the UK, not for novelty.
PostgreSQL and SQL Server on Azure or AWS. Backups restored to a scratch environment monthly, and we send you the log.
Sage, Xero, Shopify, Microsoft 365, Stripe, and the older on-premise systems that still run half of British industry.
UK data residency by default, least-privilege access, and a documented retention policy per system. Cyber Essentials aligned.

Only what you send us through the enquiry form: your name, your email address, any services you tick, and the message you write. We do not collect payment details on this website and we do not use profiling or automated decision-making.
We use your details solely to answer your enquiry and, if it leads anywhere, to discuss and deliver the work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) in responding to people who contact us, and, once you engage us, performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
Nobody outside this company, other than the email and hosting providers we use to run the business. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not transfer it outside the UK or EEA.
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted after 12 months. Records relating to clients are kept for 6 years after the end of the engagement, to meet our accounting and tax obligations.

We provide technical audits, custom development, hourly development time, quick fixes, site reviews and SEO reviews, as described on this website. Prices shown are flat rates in USD; work outside the standard scope of an item is quoted separately in writing.
We do not provide marketing websites, WordPress or theme work, ongoing SEO campaigns, graphic design, or the supply of hardware. Unless your proposal says otherwise, a quoted price also excludes: third-party licence and hosting fees, out-of-hours or weekend attendance, on-site visits, end-user training beyond one handover session, and support for systems we did not build.
Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance. Enquiries made through the form or by telephone lead to a written proposal. A contract exists only once you accept that proposal in writing. No payment is taken through this website.
Written proposals are valid for 30 days from their date. After that we may re-quote, because day rates and third-party costs move. Prices are held for the agreed scope only; a change to that scope is quoted separately in writing before any additional work starts.
We invoice separately after work is agreed. Standard terms are 14 days from invoice date. Audits are invoiced on delivery of the report; project work is invoiced in stages; support contracts are invoiced monthly in advance. We may charge statutory interest on late payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Timelines are set out in your proposal and are estimates, not guarantees. Audits are delivered as a written report; project work is delivered in stages to an environment you can access; on completion and full payment we hand over the repository, the credentials and the documentation.
Delivery depends on you providing, in reasonable time: access to the existing systems and data, the necessary credentials or licences, a named person who can make decisions, and feedback on each stage. Where any of that is delayed, the timeline extends by at least the length of the delay and we will tell you in writing what the new dates are.
Each stage has a 10 working day acceptance window. Tell us in writing within that window if something does not meet the agreed scope and we will fix it at no charge; after it closes the stage is treated as accepted. Faults in work we delivered are always our cost to correct. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events outside its reasonable control, and if such an event lasts more than 60 days either party may end the engagement under clause 6.
Support contracts may be cancelled by either party on one month's written notice. Project work may be cancelled in writing at any time; you pay for work completed and committed to that date, and any balance already paid is refunded within 14 days. If you are a consumer contracting away from our premises, you have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013; where you have asked us to begin within that period, you pay for what has already been done.
On full payment, ownership of the bespoke code we write for you passes to you, together with the repository. Third-party and open-source components remain under their own licences. We retain the right to reuse our general know-how and any generic tooling not specific to your business.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise our total liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid under that engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit or data arising from systems we did not build or maintain.
Raise any dispute with us first, in writing, at mail@mishasystems.uk. We will respond within 10 working days and try to resolve it directly before either party takes it further.
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
